The Decontamination Process Known as "Nowakowification" Draws Public Condemnation

Allow me to introduce myself. I am founder and president of Mothers against Nowakowafication by A. Dick Nowakwoski Enterprises "Mothers Against Nowakowification" (MAN,)an environmental group consisting of mothers whose children participated as test subjects in the Health Canada trials of a decontamination product made by A. Dick Nowakowski Enterprises (business name "Decontaminants by Dick") located in Salt Lake City Utah and conducting business across Canada. The product is sold in Canada under a number of names, including "Dickwash 40".

Decontaminants by Dick president Dick Nowakowski claims that his decontaminant is entirely safe and is quickly able to neutralize a range of popular industrial toxins commonly found in suburban neighbourhoods. Since the time of the testing and approval in early 2002, however, many of the Mothers have noticed a range of side effects in their children, including skin lesions, uncontrolled nausea, sleep apnea and general googly-eyedness.

A recent study commissioned by the Mothers also indicates that when Nowakowification is used to neutralize the effects of lead and mercury, a by-product of the resulting reaction is a colourless, odourless liquid which could be dangerous to humans. While Nowakowski claims that the liquid is just water, a dose of .5 mililitres of was found by researchers to be fatal to lab rats in less than 6 hours, and the liquid has herbicidal properties which render it toxic to 88% of endangered plant species in Ontario. An ongoing lawsuit in the Utah courts alleges that Nowakowski is marketing the same by-product liquid under the brand name "Plant Whacker".

Given that the Ontario govermnent has yet to take any action to investigate the product, the Mothers have organized a rally to raise awareness of their concerns among Toronto drug addicts and street dwellers. This follows previous successful rallies in daycares in Peterborough and Lindsay.

The Mothers are holding an event begins at 11 a.m. on September 1 in Moss Park. The rally will begin with a moment of silence in honour of all of the children suffering the side effects of Nowakowification. Speeches by Mothers and a keynote address by former Toronto Raptor Jerome Williams will take place starting at 2 pm, followed by a protest march around the Moss Park Community Centre and through the surrounding neighbourhood. Children under 8 welcome.
